Guam Premier Outlets
199 Chalan San Antonio, Tamuning, Guam
In 2003 PIC undertook what was possibly its biggest challenge, Guam Premier Outlets or what locals fondly call GPO.
The project started in October, believed to be the end of the island's rainy season. The rain didn't stop. It rained everyday, at times even thrice in a day.
Through resoluteness and persistence, the project wrapped up in 30 days. 15 days short of the estimated 45 days. PIC applied 2 inches of polyurethane foam to the building's 169,000 sq. ft. corrugated metal roof. It was then coated with 25 mils of silicone coating.
This insulating and waterproofing system effectively lowered GPO's power consumption by a whopping 40%.
